Recently we had a few students return to Delta to give back and talk about their experiences in college and the military. Ben Mock and Tylor Williams were here this semester talking with students and giving a peer perspective of what life is like out of high school! Always enjoy hearing from them!
If you missed the financial aid presentation given by Kurt, you can catch another one given by the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education here:
Email correspondence from Barb Mongar, ACPE: The Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE) is hosting a College Goal Alaska (CGA) webinar on Thursday, March 5th , at 5:30pm. College Goal Alaska is all about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, FAFSA, which is THE most important step to getting financial aid. Students and parents and other interested parties that would like help filling out the FAFSA are welcome. Remember: The FAFSA is needed for many types of aid, from grants to loans to work-study, from federal to state and some private sources. It's even the application for the Alaska Performance Scholarship. We encourage you to attend a CGA event and to fill out a FAFSA regardless of your parents' income. For more information about CGA events or to register for a webinar, you should go to www.CollegeGoalAK.org A very interesting article about possibly waiting for the new SAT. Thanks to one of my parents for the email!
