SAT Subject Test
SAT Subject Tests are one-hour long tests designed to showcase student achievement by differentiating themselves on college applications and provide a more complete picture of the students' aptitude and interests. There are 20 subjects you can test on, and they're given on the national test dates.
The cost of the test is $26 for one testing date, which you can take up to 3 subject tests. Each additional test is $21, except for language with listening which is $26.
You will need to register for the SAT Subject Tests online just like the regular SAT. Login to your College Board Account to look up testing dates and location.
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a group of standardized tests created and administered by College Board, which offers you the opportunity to receive college credit for what you already know.
There are 33 introductory-level college subject examinations that allow you to accelerate your education without taking college courses. Each test cost $85, which is a FRACTION of most college tuitions. Most of the universities would administer the test onsite, but you can also get a head start and begin planning while in high school. However, do find out the policy of the institution you plan to attend, and make sure you're following the correct guidelines.
The WorkKeys is a test designed to assess career readiness for students who are on a career track or to enter job market right after high school.
There are three sections (Reading for Information, Locating Information, Applied Mathematics) in this test. The scores are used to determine eligibility of the Alaska performance Scholarship, as well as many employers or apprenticeship programs across the nation.
This is a test that is offered online, where you will get instant report on your test score. You can also retake a portion of the test to improve your score.
This test is by appointment only; you will need to see me to set up a time. Each test is $12, plus $8 for National Career Readiness Certificate which shows all your scores. Each additional certificate will be $8, as well.
