I will be giving another round of ASVAB tests to Seniors on February 28th. I have 6 students
A little late notice.. Sorry! WorkKeys testing results went home to Juniors 2 weeks ago. Look for them in the mail. For additional resources check out these websites:
*Juniors have one opportunity Senior year to improve a score on one or more sections of the WorkKeys test. If the desired score is still not achieved, a student can purchase an additional test for $5.50 per test.
The Ft. Greely Career Day for Seniors will take place on Tuesday March 5th from 8:45-3:00 at the CAC on post. Seniors are expected to attend. Look for a mail out that was sent home on Friday. This event includes resume finalization, roundtable discussions with employers, budgeting and financial advice. The local scholarship application packet will be handed out on this day. Also a huge thank you to the DHS Booster Club for sponsoring snacks and lunch for the seniors and presenters! This is a second annual event and one of the "best events I have attended", a former senior said!
The Rural Alaska Honors Institute is accepting applications for students interested in attending their summer college experience. This opportunity is an on campus event at the University of Alaska Fairbanks where students live in the dorms and take 8-10 college credits! Take advantage of this opportunity by completing an application at http://www.uaf.edu/rahi/
As we get further into the school year, and having less and less time in my actual office, I decided to use this platform to make announcement, interact with students and parents, and share important information with everyone. There is no promises that I will update this page on a daily basis, but I will definitely try to maintain this website to the best I can.
Please do take advantage of this virtual office. I look forward to hearing from you :)
