The SAT will be given this Saturday in Ms. Glynn's room. Be there at 8:00 a.m.
Seniors interested in applying to the University of Alaska campuses, DECEMBER 3-7 is COLLEGE APPLICATION WEEK!! if you apply before the 7th, you will be entered for 1 of 6 $500 scholarships!! For 10 minutes of your time, you could get $500. Students on Free and Reduced Lunch, you have the opportunity to waive the $50 application fee. See Mrs. Pinkelman for details! I added a new test date for the SAT. January 26th is an added test date so be sure and sign up before December 28th. Also, as a reminder regulations for both the SAT and ACT require students to upload photos when they register. Be sure to do this before the deadline. Otherwise your registration will be canceled and you will not be able to take the test on the selected test date. :( So be prepared!
Thank you to all who attended the Senior Parent Night. It was nice to see so many seniors and their parents in attendance. Great information was provided by Angela Murphy and Allison Long regarding financial aid and Jack Detzel did a recap about the Career Guides and Ft. Greely Career Day in February. Senior Parent Night on Wednesday November 14, 2012 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. is going to be a great night! We will have lots of hand out including checklist of duties and important deadlines from now until graduation on May 17th. We will discuss admissions requirements of universities, military, trades, and job searching resources! We are even going to talk about the importance of money and applying for scholarships. I sent out an AlertNow phone message to juniors and seniors informing parents of this test next week. Juniors are required to take this career readiness assessment. The high school will be testing on Tuesday November 6th with a make up day on Tuesday November 13th. You can read more information about this test the testing information
